The International Miners' Mission (IMM) evangelizes and ministers to miners, their families and others in mining areas around the world under God's guidance, in partnership with indigenous Churches and Ministries.
Jael and Esther showing their day’s earnings, about two tenths of a gram of gold, worth about £8 each.
IMM UK at the request of John and Loise Asembo in Kenya is in the process of raising £6000 to cover the cost of running the gold ore milling facility on their mining claim at Kabobo Junction near Masara for 3 months. This subsidy allows at least 15 women to mill their tailings at no cost, enabling them to take home all the proceedings from selling their gold.
£4,000 has already been dispatch (enough for the first two months with the rest to be raised). Today, halfway through the first two months, the first of the women have started milling and processing their tailings.
£2310 has been spent on the costs of running the mill and in setting a shaft for the women to access new ore, as opposed to reworking tailings (dug from previously treated dumps).

16 women have earned £3890 from the sale of 97 grams of gold towards their support of 113 family and extended family members. This means the subsidy from the IMM has been multiplied by 1.68% to reward the women in mining. This not only means that the women got two thirds more than had it been a direct hand out, but they keep their dignity of work and self-respect as wage earners.
The local Migori County Government has donated some personal protective clothing to the women.
THANK YOU IMM SUPPORTERS FOR ALL YOUR HELP!
Praise the Lord that there is increasing integration as more miners are getting involved with the church and its activities. The wife of one of the miners started coming to church recently and another miner has been playing mini football with the children who come to the church. Thank the Lord for Robert’s and Krasi’s heart for the lost that the Lord will give him strategies and vision for the ministry of reconciliation to Father God.
